Dating back to the Roman occupation, this nearly 1 000 year-old variety is still made according to traditional methods. It's prestigious PDO status also ensures that it is only made within a certain geographical area.The milk used to make Fourme d'Ambert comes exclusively from cows grazing on local pastures.

Often referred to as the "connoisseur's blue cheese", this special blue is not as strong as other blue cheese varieties, such as Roquefort. This makes Fourme d'Ambert a great choice for those new to blue cheese or for those who prefer a milder flavour.
