A firm, aged, cow's milk cheese produced in Italy, and one of the most famous 'Drunken' cheeses. Soaked and aged in Amarone wine, the cheese absorbs the sweet, rich flavours of the wine, creating a very special wine and cheese flavour combination. It is hard, but not overly dry, as the wine seems to keep it moist. Great with a glass of Amarone, cured meats, and antipasti—along with some sea salt crackers or Italian bread.
This cheese is a real show stopper with its grape must coating.
