Kaamps Maple Whisky Gouda

The texture is smooth and creamy with a rich mouthfeel. From the first bite, notes of warm caramel and toasted cream rise to the surface, followed by the unmistakable sweetness of maple syrup—not overpowering, but perfectly woven into the cheese’s buttery body. Mid-palate, the whisky character emerges: not boozy, but softly spiced and oaky, offering a depth that calls to mind aged barrels and slow, smoky evenings. The finish lingers with flavours of
brown sugar, roasted nuts, and a faint trace of vanilla and smoke.

Pairing Notes:
Ideal alongside a peated Scotch, dark rum, or a bold maple porter. For wine, try with an off-dry Gewürztraminer. We’ve got a focus on some firm cheeses this month featuring a Dutch cheese with a Canadian twist, an Austrian mountain cheese and a very unique Swiss creation. Serve this all with a wonderful dried fruit cake from Spain.

Our cheese mongers hand cut every cheese to order. We will always try to cut the exact weight ordered, however your piece might be slightly over or under the amount listed. But please know that we cut it freshly and specifically for you.

If you order several cheeses, we will usually make up for shortcomings on weight, if any, on the other cheeses ordered.

All cheeses are wrapped in special cheese paper and sealed to preserve freshness during transit.

Every order includes all the necessary thermal packaging and ice packs required for current weather conditions. Our main focus is getting the freshest product delivered to your door.
