Excellent cheese only problem It didn’t last. Mmmmmm. Expensive to ship though, almost equal to the cheese cost. I first experienced this cheese in Sept 1997 in Paris and I tried for a few years to buy it here in Canada but was not allowed into Canada. Was surprised when I saw it available now. Still a great tasting cheese. I’ll be ordering more as the pocket book is in my favor!

A lovely, rich cheese

A sweet, nutty aroma like scalded milk. On the palate notes of sweet butter combined with bitterness, delivers a perfect balance. A really nice Comte.

Nutty greatness

Reminds me of various Italian hard cheeses. This is great with a white or red. Fantastic flavor, and great with fruit, nuts, bread, and seafood.

Tasting Notes:

Our Comte Cheese Aged 24 Months is a delicious French cheese, and has been one of our favourites for years.

Like the Comte 12 month version, it features a firm, buttery texture, and sweet nutty flavour. It has similar flavours to those of Gruyère but is sweeter.

If you love french cheese, this is a must try. 

Pair with White Burgundy, Pinot Noir.

Our cheese mongers hand cut every cheese to order. We will always try to cut the exact weight ordered, however your piece might be slightly over or under the amount listed. But please know that we cut it freshly and specifically for you.

If you order several cheeses, we will usually make up for shortcomings on weight, if any, on the other cheeses ordered.

All cheeses are wrapped in special cheese paper and sealed to preserve freshness during transit.

Every order includes all the necessary thermal packaging and ice packs required for current weather conditions. Our main focus is getting the freshest product delivered to your door.
