So good.

So glad I ordered the Gjetost it brought me back to the time I lived in Norway. Wish it came in 500 gram packets. The shipping was excellent, well packed with icepack still frozen when it arrived.

Gjetost Ski Queen cheese

Melts in your mouth. I first tried this in Norway in 1972. Next time I had it was at Epcot at Disney in 2007. Since then I've found it in stores occasionally. The size sold here is 250 g compared to 500 g in stores. Fairly expensive but okay as an occasional treat.

Finally

FINALLY I have found the cheese I used to buy and love! I have searched everywhere until now. Gone up in price, as has everything, but such a treat on crackers with a glass of wine. Ordered Friday and delivered Saturday….can’t beat that service!

Gjetost Ski Queen Cheese

The Facts

Country: Norway
Milk Type: Pasteurized Goat and Cow
Age: 30-60 days

Tasting Notes:

The Gjetost Ski Queen Cheese is the closest thing to cheese fudge that you're going to try. It's sweet and smooth, and features deep flavours of sweet caramel.

As whey is boiled down and reduced, it starts to caramelize and sweeten up. It also acquires a beautiful dark colour as they form it into these blocks of sweet cheese goodness.

A unique cheese and a fun one to try.

We've seen people melt it down for a delicious, sweet fondue for dipping fresh fruit.

**please note the new format, these are now 250Gram blocks, not 500g like they were for many years.
