Puddled well at room temp

Being amused by this phenomenon, I'm now looking for it in this CheesyPlace order. This cheese did well in the puddling test. Nicely viscous while not runny and liquid, I do appreciate this compromise. A bit salty, but not too much, the usual creamy texture for this order, and really no stink! Maybe my comparison to Port Salut or Estrom is too extreme? Anyway, I do like this one. The rind is fine too, unlike the triple brie I'm comparing, which is eye watering (in a NOT good way!)

Affidélice affiné au Chablis Cheese

The Facts

Country: France
Milk Pasteurized cow
Age: 1-2 months

Tasting Notes:

Made in Burgundy, France, Affidélice affiné au Chablis Cheese, a soft cheese, is washed once a week in Chablis, a light, fresh and crisp white wine.

However, like many washed cheeses, it develops a stronger aroma than regular bloomy rind brie and other soft cheese. Fruity with a hint of wine coming through in the finish.

A close relative to the famously stinky Époisses, but not as strong and smelly.

Serve with a crisp white wine like Chablis.
