Fleur de Ré
The Facts
Country: France
Milk Type: Pasteurized
Age: 2-6 weeks
Tasting Notes:
Fleur de Ré is produced in the west of France by Fontenill. Inspired by the French Island, île de Ré located in the Poitou region, which produces many other famous goat cheeses like Chabichou.
The salt used for its production comes from the Isle of Ré. The delicate flavours of the salt translate into the subtle, delicate flavours of the goat cheese. A fruity, fresh tasting goat cheese with a bit of salt in the finish.
Pair with Chardonnay.
***All handmade goat cheeses may arrive with little spores of mold, this is completely edible and normal for artisan goat cheeses.
