First of all I want to thank you for opening up this fabulous service for cheese ! We moved from Toronto to Sudbury and there def isn’t any quality cheese to be found here ! We have shopped at Alex farm for years and really miss it ! The Cheesy Place is just as awesome ! The service and delivery is exceptional! In regards to the Camembert , my French hubby loves it , only preference would be to have it a little more ripe and pungent !
We will def be ordering from the Cheesy Place again !!

Normandy Raw Camembert Cheese

The Facts:

Milk Type: Unpasteurized Cow
Age: 3 weeks+

Tasting Notes:

Made the traditional way, from unpasteurized cow's milk, Normandy Raw Camembert Cheese is a soft-ripened, bloomy rind cheese. Not to be confused with pasteurized versions of the cheese, which are simply Camembert made in Normandy.

First developed in 1791 by a farmer from the town of Camembert and granted AOP status, this is the authentic Normandy Camembert!

The cheese is hand molded with a ladle and matured for at least 3 weeks. While it matures, the cheese develops a white rind, which sometimes shows red/orange spots. The ivory paste, when fully matured, is smooth and shiny, with small holes.

Flavours are rich and buttery, with hints of mushroom and truffle.

Pair with a Beaujolais.

250 grams /each wheel
